Quality Beach
The new project “The Ecological Beach Attendant” to be carried out at bathing establishment Giulia 85 in Riccione is based on the principals of sustainable development through experimental methods accomplished in 2002, with the aim of implementing a new design and complete refurbishment of the establishment. These principles, interpreted as an environmental synergetic union, with social and economic aspects are developed according to the guidelines of the project and can be summarised as follows:
- Respect and recovery of “genius loci” the soul of the place and the bathing setting, improving the environmental integration of beach arrangements;
- Accessibility to all;
- Utilization of environmental and recycled low impact materials;
- Differentiated collection and utilization of recycled materials for products;
- Application of bio-climatic and bio-construction principles of new products;
- Water saving, retrieval and recycling for secondary usage
- Energy saving systems and renewable energy: Thermal solar energy and photovoltaic energy;
- Passive cooling of the beach attendant’s cabin without the use of air-conditioning systems;
